Kevin Hart says he is 'done' with Oscars conversation

Kevin Hart seems to have fully closed the door on any possibility that he will host the Oscars.

There was speculation that he might return, but on Wednesday he told ABC's Good Morning America: "I'm not hosting the Oscars this year".

"Once again, Kevin Hart apologises for his remarks that hurt members of the LGBTQ community".

"I'm a good person", he added. "The offer was made, it was received, I was excited, things happened, it didn't work out the way it should have".

A new report says the ceremony will go host-less for the first time in three decades.

Likely recognizing his spelling errors, Trump quickly deleted the tweet and re-uploaded another with the correct spelling. In November, the president blamed poor forest management for the wildfires that wreaked havoc across the state.

After a show of support from fellow comedienne Ellen Degeneres, rumors began to circulate if Kevin Hart would set aside his differences with the Academy and host the Oscars anyway.

DeGeneres - a past Oscars host herself - said she called the Academy and asked them to reconsider having Hart host.

During the terse 10-minute interview, Hart repeatedly responded to questions about the homophobic tweets and jokes he made between 2009 and 2012 by saying: "I'm done". "I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past".

During the Monday broadcast of his radio show, however, he shared a much different outlook that he had at the time of his first non-apology-apology.

"I'm over it. There's no more conversation about it ... I'm over that, I'm over the moment". So if it's accepted, great, but if it's not, it's nothing I can control.

Bill Timmons's resignation was unanimously accepted by directors, the company said in a statement. Tommy Thompson said only that the "the matter is under investigation", but declined to elaborate.

The debacle on the Academy's hands is one entirely of their own making, shot through by their sycophantic love affair with all things left-of-center and politically correct. "So I'm done with it".

Hart continued to answer combatively after Strahan asked if he had any "understanding" of how LGBTQ youth could have been affected by his words. You want me to be the face of this community because of this joke?

"You're not going to hear me say anything else about it", he continued. If you feed this energy then it's going to grow.

"So unfortunately I can't do it this year".

In a follow-up video shared on Instagram, in which he explained why he wouldn't apologise, he added: "I chose to pass, I passed on the apology".

He said: "He's got great potential, it's all right having potential but you have to then go on and do it. Even when we had a few problems in midfield with Ampadu, he was running for two.

The second part of Michael Strahan's interview on GMA focused on Kevin Hart's new move, The Upside.
