McLaren says the new auto - christened Beco, which was Aryton's nickname given to him by his parents - also has power increase over the standard vehicle, along with a McLaren F1-style 24-carat gold heat shield and modified engine shrouds.

Liveried to mimic the 1988 McLaren MP4/4 which Senna piloted to his maiden World Championship, the track-only machine takes on the iconic red and white Marlboro colours.

Two Chicago police officers killed by train
In 2018, four Chicago police officers died on duty, which is the second highest after 2010's number of five. All six worked in the 5th District, as did Commander Paul Byers, who was shot and killed in February.

Commissioned by a McLaren collector who was inspired by Senna at a young age, the auto features the diagonal red stripes as well as a barcode (used during races in countries that banned tobacco advertising at the time) in lieu of the Marlboro logo. To make this possible, the collector worked closely alongside McLaren Special Operations (MSO) for three years and personally oversaw every detail on the unique build. MSO even incorporated the Brazilian flag, Senna's race number "12" in 1988, along with the bar code used in lieu of Marlboro for advertising restrictions.

Apart from that, the P1 GTR also underwent external modifications which are aimed at making the most out of the high-performance track auto. In total, over 800 hours of work was poured in making the P1 GTR's distinct paint finish. Like the F1, McLaren treated the engine bay to 24-karat gold heat shielding, along with a Lexan plastic engine cover and a blue-tipped exhaust. The new owner describes a "suitably pleasing" increase in power as a result of the modifications. Chassis number 12 - chosen because it was also the number used by the legendary driver - has been christened "Beco", Senna's nickname among friends and family. The aero's been tweaked too, with new gurney flaps, front dive planes, a new front splitter and barge boards meaning this P1 GTR can generate around 800kg of downforce when at speed.

Panthers reportedly expected to shut Cam Newton down for season
Heinicke's background with offensive coordinator Norv Turner (in Minnesota) was the reason they held onto him this year. Three came at the end of either a first half or a game, when the Panthers attempted a Hail Mary.

The car's interior has also seen an overhaul - with a Senna logo featuring on the Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel plus the headrests for the carbon-fibre bucket seats taken from the McLaren Senna hypercar. The Senna branding extends to the door panels and dash, which also feature a thin red stripe.
