Mueller: ex-Trump campaign chairman Manafort lied to investigators about funds, contacts

But also, significantly, the memo documents Cohen's claims that he was operating at the behest of Trump when he paid off two women Trump allegedly had affairs with to keep them from going to the press during the 2016 presidential campaign.

This morning he followed up with "After two years and millions of pages of documents (and a cost of over $30,000,000), NO COLLUSION!"

He had provided information about contacts with Russian interests during the campaign, attempts by Russians to reach the campaign and about contacts with "persons connected to the White House" in 2017-2018, the filing added.

The aside is included as part of Mueller's call for a federal judge to be lenient on Cohen and sentence him to no additional jail time in a case brought by federal prosecutors in the Southern District of NY on tax evasion, making false statements in an application for a bank loan, making an illegal campaign contribution and lying to Congress.

In August, Cohen pleaded guilty to violating campaign finance law in connection with the payments.

How to Watch The Game Awards 2018: YouTube, Twitter, Twitch and More
The stream is viewable on MLG, Twitter , Twitch , Facebook , Mixer , Steam TV, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Live, and more. There are, of course, still awards being handed out to various games, with none quite as big as Game of the Year .

In one of the filings, Mueller details how Cohen spoke to a Russian who "claimed to be a "trusted person" in the Russian Federation who could offer the campaign "political synergy" and 'synergy on a government level'".

United States prosecutors have revealed that a Russian offered cooperation to Donald Trump's campaign as early as 2015, declaring that the president's ex-lawyer Michael Cohen had provided "relevant" and "substantial" help to the Russia investigation.

Mueller's office, in a separate filing, did not take a position on what sentence Cohen should receive when he appears before a judge next week in New York City.

It was the first time the feds directly linked Trump to hush- money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal - a fact noted by former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti.

Cohen, an attorney and businessman, committed four distinct federal crimes over a period of several years.

Huawei exec accused of fraud over Iran sanctions
Last month, New Zealand refused a telecom company's request to use 5G technology from Huawei, citing national security concerns. The lawyer also proposed that Meng could be electronically monitored to ensure she does not take flight.

The president also praised another associate, Roger Stone, for saying he wouldn't testify against him, and Trump said a pardon for Manafort isn't off the table.

The filings, in cases involving Cohen and former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, capped a dramatic week of revelations in Mueller's probe into possible coordination between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.

Trump's only defense? Cohen, he says, is a liar.

According to the filing, Manafort lied about his interactions with Russian-Ukranian political consultant Konstantin Kilimnik, Kilimnik's efforts to tamper with witnesses, the circumstances surrounding a $125,000 payment to a firm working for Manafort, and Manafort's contacts with officials in the Trump administration.

Mueller's office hinted that Manafort could be slapped with new charges, despite being convicted in August of eight counts related to his work with a pro-Russian political party. Though he has portrayed himself as cooperative, "his description of those efforts is overstated in some respects and incomplete in others", prosecutors said. "Thank you!" Trump tweeted cryptically as television networks were consumed by the Cohen documents - which the White House dismissed as revealing "nothing of value". Prosecutors wrote that Cohen had implicated Trump in the arrangement of hush-money payments to women during the 2016 election.

Nats sign P Corbin to 6-year deal
Nightengale said other teams eyeing Corbin are also aware of the bidding war they could potentially get into with Philadelphia. That averages out as $23.3 million per season, which seems to be a fair amount for the best starter in free agency.
