Delhi Daredevils renamed Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2019

The franchise owners revealed the new name of the team in an event as they had built up a lot of hype for the same.

Hoping for a change in fortunes in the cash-rich Indian Premier League, Delhi Daredevils franchise have now been renamed as "Delhi Capitals".

JSW Sports acquired a 50% stake in the Delhi franchise ahead of the 2018 edition of the IPL. Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting will continue as the coach and will be assisted by Mohammad Kaif.
