Trump slams CNN's Jim Acosta in explosive press briefing

While speaking to reporters on Friday, President Donald Trump had some harsh words for CNN reporter Jim Acosta after press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders suspended his pass to enter the White House. Acosta said before Trump interrupted him. Acosta asked the US leader about his claim that Central American migrants walking through Mexico toward the southern USA border were "invading" the country.

That's a good description of Wednesday's testy encounter between CNN White House reporter Jim Acosta and President Trump, which started with Acosta challenging the president's claim that the refugee migrant march toward the U.S. border amounted to a unsafe "invasion".

Some have accused Sanders of tweeting a "doctored" version of the confrontation, a claim that has been called into question by others in the media. "Sped up to make Jim Acosta's motion look like a chop", Shimunov wrote.

The president insisted that the video distributed by White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was simply a "close-up" and "was not doctored". Acosta continued to try to ask his question, not giving up the mic. "We will not tolerate the inappropriate behavior clearly documented in this video".

Midterms Usher Wave Of Young, Democratic Women Of Color Into House
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will become the youngest female ever elected to Congress, winning her NY district at age 29. Elise Stefanik , a Republican representing upstate NY , was previously the youngest, elected in 2014 at age 30.

In response to Sanders' statement about why his pass had been revoked, Acosta tweeted simply, "This is a lie". "This unprecedented decision is a threat to our democracy and the country deserves better", CNN added. "When you are in the White House, this is a very sacred place to me, a very special place".

"Just sit down", Trump said.

During the interaction, Acosta's hand came into contact with the White House intern's arm.

After a few moments of verbal sparring, Trump angrily declared "that's enough" as a White House aide moved to take the microphone away from Acosta.

Oh my bad, I thought we were supposed to exit at the top. "We're happy that you came back", Ellen said before announcing that everyone was going home with a copy of Ariana's album, Sweetener .

The intern attempted to grab the microphone from Mr Acosta, who tried to shout out one last question. "You shouldn't be working for CNN". You are a rude awful person you shouldn't be working for CNN. But others say the CNN reporter should have just handed it over.

"Well I'm not a big fan of yours either", Trump said.
