Pentagon Says Soldiers At Border Won’t Be Denying Entry To Asylum-Seekers

President Donald Trump's decision to deploy USA active duty troops and earlier deployment of National Guard forces to the southern border could cost between $200 million and $300 million, according to an independent analysis and Department of Defense figures on guard deployments.

The disclosure by U.S. officials illustrates the tension within the administration over using military resources to fortify the border against illegal immigration, a top election issue for President Donald Trump's base.

The number of United States troops sent to the border with Mexico to assist border guards, until the end of Monday (local time), will reach 5.2 thousand people.
