She was described as "despondent and emotional" over "an alarmingly low white blood cell count", which resulted as a side effect from the kidney transplant operation she had a year ago. The outlet reported (somewhat dramatically) that being forced to re-enter the hospital "threw [her] into a downward emotional spiral" that rapidly progressed into a "meltdown". She was then taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

We hope Selena will get better soon, and we applaud her efforts to seek treatment.

Gomez is reportedly set to be treated with dialectical behaviour therapy at the facility, which aims to reduce stress and help manage emotions. According to TMZ, Gomez was upset because of "an alarmingly low white blood cell count".
