Scarlett Johansson Getting Equal Pay for 'Black Widow' Standalone Film

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Scarlett Johansson is set for a $15 million payday for the upcoming BLACK WIDOW standalone film from Marvel.

The publication goes on to point out that the salary is what Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth each raked in for their portrayals as Captain America and Thor in this year's Avengers: Infinity War, as well as Captain America: Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok, in addition to the upcoming fourth Avengers film.

Avengers 4 is set to hit theaters on May 3, 2019.

This is Johansson's sixth appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Black Widow. It's worthy of note, however, that Downey made $500,000 for his first Iron Man film.

However, a Marvel spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter that it "disputes the accuracy of these numbers" and does not "publicly disclose salaries or deal terms" as a matter of policy.

Both Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth recently announced the Avengers 4 marked their last time with Marvel (Evans here; Hemsworth here). The actor wrote a heartfelt message to his fans and colleagues, saying it was an "honor" to play Captain America for eight years.
