Ruby Rose's Batwoman revealed to the world

Ruby Rose's Batwoman revealed to the world

Ruby Rose is taking on the role of Kate Kane, who'll debut in the three-part event between Supergirl, Arrow, and The Flash (Legends of Tomorrow is sitting this one out) before her own spin-off potentially launches next year (The CW have ordered a pilot episode).

E! News said Rose's costume was designed by Colleen Atwood.

Assuming Batwoman's inclusion in the Arrow, Supergirl and The Flash crossover goes off without a hitch, you might want to schedule some time into your TV schedule next year for a Batwoman series, since one is now in the works at The CW. As you can see the costuming is both in line with the Arrowverse designs and her comic book look, keeping the red detailing while rolling in a less spandexy cloth.

Rose will likely have her own spinoff show as the Gotham City heroine, according to EW, as the network is now developing a Batwoman series.

The reveal of Kate Kane's new suit coincides with the crossover starting production today in Vancouver. In 2006 she returned as Kate Kane, "an out lesbian and trained street fighter primed to snuff out [Gotham City's] criminal resurgence".
