Microsoft's Project xCloud Lets You Play Xbox Games Anywhere

Remember the stock Xbox One (which isn't even sold any more) already requires lots of caveats to get games running on it, namely dynamic resolution scaling, and these trade-offs may be present in Project xCloud too.

"Our vision is for gamers to have access to the same content via game streaming that they do on other platforms, without any additional work required by the game developer", the spokesperson said.

With the new technology, Microsoft aims to provide console and PC gamers more flexibility as to where they can play their games.

Microsoft is now testing Project xCloud with phones and tablets using Xbox Wireless Controllers through Bluetooth. Microsoft believes they can deliver a high-quality experience that doesn't suffer from latency or quality issues, and they've been investing heavily in cloud tech for years to achieve this.

Project xCloud uses Microsoft's Azure infrastructure as the backbone to compute graphics and stream the games to user devices. The new streaming service is now being tested with public trials set to start in 2019.

Clinton says Trump remarks at Kavanaugh swearing-in undermine Supreme Court
Trump on Twitter on Tuesday said he was "very proud" of Kavanaugh and his family, and disparaged the anti-Kavanaugh protesters. The court's two oldest justices are Democratic appointees: Ruth Bader Ginsburg is 85 and Stephen Breyer is 80.

Project xCloud actually seems contradictory to Xbox's interests in a few ways.

Project xCloud is already being tested on phones and tablets paired up with Xbox controllers via Bluetooth, although touch input is also available.

xCloud is, essentially, a gaming solution for those who don't own an Xbox or a game-ready PC.

In combination with improvements to the network, players should now expect high fidelity experiences across 4G and the upcoming 5G networks. That's to be expected if Microsoft is to create something that will scale to allow people to play high-end games on multiple devices.

We are testing Project xCloud today.

Trump advocates for 'stop and frisk' to 'straighten out' Chicago
Rosenstein was flying with Trump on Air Force One to Orlando, Florida , where Trump was set to speak to police chiefs. Several people were in the room, including former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and former FBI counsel Lisa Page.

MICROSOFT HAS OFFICIALLY taken the covers off its gaming streaming service, which it has dubbed Project xCloud; yep, someone ran out of credits at the imagination bank.

Controlling this games will be critical, especially on smaller devices like smartphones.

A co-worker adds, "But we know not everyone in the world is going to go out and buy a gaming console".

While this is being tested with mobile devices now, you can bet we'll also see this move over to PCs as well. The company promises a console-like experience on all devices.
