Vikings' Everson Griffen receiving mental health evaluation after weekend incident

Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen is away from the team now, as he addresses his mental health.

Griffen was held out because of a knee injury Sunday when the Vikings lost to the Buffalo Bills, but he was in no condition to play after a scary series of incidents Saturday.

According to the incident report, Pico told police before the incident at the hotel that Griffen had been "explosive, screaming and yelling" at the team facility.

On the way to the hospital, however, Griffen got out of the ambulance and police found him walking along County Road 44 waving his hands in the air.

Vikings security chief Kim Klawiter told police that Griffen wasn't "acting normal lately" and that "it's nearly like he's having a nervous breakdown".

Trump calls Kavanaugh allegations ‘a big, fat con job’
Trump said he was "OK with that", but again defended Kavanaugh as a "gem" and said that Democrats are treating him unfairly. And he said he may delay their highly anticipated Thursday meeting to avoid distracting from the Kavanaugh hearing.

In a separate incident report obtained by ESPN, the Minneapolis Police Department was called Saturday to Hotel Ivy because an individual was threatening to shoot someone if he wasn't allowed in his room. Griffen was gone for several days during the week, at one point sending his wife a text message that referenced suicide.

Winston's three-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy ended Tuesday, the first day the fourth-year pro was permitted to return to the team's training facility and have contact with coaches and teammates. Asked by police why he went to Waynes' home, Griffen said that "God made me do it" and later agreed to go to the hospital.

Griffen then drove to the Lake Minnetonka area and reportedly tried to enter the home of Trae Waynes, a teammate, according to the Minnetrista police report.

Tiffany told police Everson was not on medication "but should be". Zimmer made it clear that Griffen is missed both on the field and in the locker room, but said there are more important things to be anxious about.

Zimmer said he hasn't talked to Griffen since the Week 2 overtime game at Green Bay.

Jeremy Corbyn: Labour leader changes rules to axe rebel MPs
John McDonnell said the vote should "respect" the 2016 result and only be on the government's negotiated deal with Brussels. Bashir Ibrahim, a Labour activist from Jeremy Corbyn's Islington North local Labour Party, made an appeal to party backers.

Griffen later left his vehicle at a Minnetonka gas station and got into the passenger seat of a stranger's truck. Police told Griffen to get back in the ambulance and he did.

The Vikings issued a brief statement through Rick Spielman: "We are aware of the situation involving Everson Griffen and certainly concerned by what we have heard".

"The only thing really we're concerned about for Everson isn't anything to do with football". He was arrested twice as a rookie in 2011, once for public intoxication and soon after for allegedly assaulting a police officer during a traffic stop.

Griffen has played all nine of his seasons with the Vikings and signed a four-year extension last year.

Klopp set to make big change in the squad against Chelsea
Otherwise, to improve something you would give yourself half a year to really make the next step in whatever kind of career. It's about positioning, it's about reaction, about spaces defensively, closing them, offensively using them.
