Patriots on the verge of Josh Gordon eye-opener

New England traded for Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon to sure up its ailing receiving corps.

The Browns lost some of their leverage with Gordon after they announced Saturday the wide receiver would be released this week due to a loss of trust.

And don't doubt that many Tory MPs are adamant they simply won't vote for the kind of proposal Theresa May has put on the table. He said the government was stepping up its contingency planning.

According to NFL.com, the Patriots and Browns are "getting close on a deal" that would send Gordon to New England. "We wish Josh well", Browns general manager John Dorsey said in a statement.

In exchange for Gordon, Cleveland will get a 5th round draft pick.

Klopp hails Wembley win as Liverpool's best display yet
Liverpool took control of the game from the word go and scored as early as the first minute of the match through Roberto Firmino , although it was ruled out for offside.

The Browns have been trying to trade Gordon this past weekend after they decided they would move on from him. The receiver has missed a total of 54 games over the past four seasons (2014-17) due to multiple National Football League suspensions. In a statement released prior to training camp, Gordon revealed he was "doing great" both physically and mentally, and "excited to start the season". Still, Gordon's average has stayed steady throughout his career, whether it was during his historic First-Team All-Pro season back in 2013, or in 2017 when he caught just 18 passes for 335 yards - an average of 18.6 per reception. But just days later, things turned toward separation between the Browns and Gordon, who thanked the organization via an Instagram post. He's since found the end zone just twice in the ensuing five seasons.

Schefter reports that Gordon's hamstring injury will not be enough to keep him out of action this Sunday, while Field Yates reports that recently-signed wideout Corey Coleman has been cut off the Patriots' 53-man roster to make room for Gordon.
