A 25-year-old Indian man was among three people killed when a gunman opened fire in a bank building in the USA city of Cincinnati before police shot the attacker dead on Thursday. Omar Perez was also killed when police intervened.

The gunman entered a loading dock and opened fire before going into the lobby of the building, where four police officers engaged him, and gunfire was exchanged, Isaac said.

Police have not yet determined whether he was killed by officers or by a self-inflicted gunshot.

Police say they don't know why 29-year-old Omar Enrique Santa Perez chose to open fire in the building.
