Republicans Only Force Stopping Trump Impeachment, Nunes Says

Republicans Only Force Stopping Trump Impeachment, Nunes Says

Rep. Chris Collins (R-N.Y.)-the first member of Congress to endorse Donald Trump's bid for president-announced on Saturday that he is suspending his re-election campaign after he was arrested on Wednesday and charged for his alleged role in an insider trading scheme.

"Congressman Nunes has pressured the Justice Department and the FBI into making unprecedented disclosures of law-enforcement-sensitive material and classified information that's actively being used in ongoing open investigations", she said.

"They know it's ridiculous to go after the president for obstruction of justice", Nunes said of Mueller's investigation. Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from overseeing the investigation, thus putting Rosenstein in charge.

"We have to keep the majority", he adds.

Later, he talks about the midterms and the honest need to keep a Republican majority in both the House and Senate, something Democrats are hoping to clinch.

Jose Mourinho rails against negative media coverage
United's all-time leading goalscorer told Sky Sports: "I think it will be hard after the season they had a year ago ". Valencia - he was injured in pre-season. "The players with a proper pre-season are fit and they are strong".

So therein lies what's like your classic Catch-22 situation where we're at a - it puts us in such a tough spot.

"The corruption in Washington is rampant, and Nunes is at the heart of it".

On Fox News Thursday, Nunes called the controversy over his comments "left-wing media spin". "After all", tweeted University of Texas Law School professor Steve Vladeck, "this has been the only explanation - for quite some time - for his ridiculous behavior on everything from the unmasking scandal" to the "Rosenstein impeachment". He has denied any wrongdoing.

"The one thing we've been warning about for many, many years on the intelligence committee is about the electronic voting systems".

"These people look like stooges", the columnist said, for having "indulged a character like Devin Nunes".

North Korea rejecting United States proposals in diplomatic standoff
An article Thursday in the Rodong Sinmun said a formal peace treaty ending the Korean War must take place before denuclearization. The joint statement released after the event, however, was vague at best and provided no clear pathway for Kim to do so.

The Nunes-led House Intelligence Committee conducted a yearlong investigation of Russia's election interference. Keep in mind, this is all just a matter of two weeks after Nunes tried to bring articles of impeachment against Rosenstein to party leadership only to be dismissed and mildly dressed down by House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.).

If the House voted to impeach Rosenstein it would "trigger" the Senate to start the process, Nunes said, which gets in the way of the confirmation process for President Donald Trump's Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh. If Rosenstein declines to do so, Trump can take the repeal-the-regulation route, but not without consequences of ensuing press and public ire.

Ryan said in July, "if this were to pass through the House, then what it would do is tie the Senate into knots ..." "Well, and you have to decide what you want right now because the Senate only has so much time. It's a matter of, it's a matter of timing". The articles of impeachment accuse Rosenstein of "high crime and misdemeanors" related to his oversight of Robert Mueller's Russian Federation investigation. His announcement reverses a comment he made last Wednesday insisting that he would "remain on the ballot running for re-election this November" despite the charges.

But, in the audio obtained from the McMorris Rodgers fundraiser, Nunes says the stall in the impeachment effort is more about timing. "But ultimately let's say the Portuguese came and brought her some stolen emails, and she chose to release those. OK, now we have a problem, right?" Because somebody stole the emails, gave them to Cathy, Cathy released them. "Well, if that's the case, then that's criminal", he said.

In the portion of his remarks played on MSNBC, Nunes neither compares nor contrasts this scenario with the release in 2016 of private Democratic communications.

Omarosa Contradicts Her Own Book in NPR Interview
Right on time, as the news broke, Manigault Newman touted her upcoming book tour on Instagram, ready to capture some sales. Sanders also says, "It's sad that a disgruntled former White House employee is trying to profit off these false attacks".

Collins' decision to suspend his campaign, as Politico noted, followed demands from Democrats-including Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, chair of the New York State Democratic Committee, that he immediately resign.
