Ruby Rose Cast as Batwoman for CW Crossover, Standalone Series

The CW has crowned its newest Batwoman: model-actor Ruby Rose will take up the queer, Jewish mantle. Rose will first appear as Batwoman in the annual DC superhero crossover event as well as the Batwoman series that is now in development from producer Greg Berlanti. Striking fear into the criminals she fights, Kate is someone who must also fight the complications of living a double life, both as a citizen and hero of Gotham. "In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham's symbol of hope", the official Batwoman logline reads.

The CW superhero shows can vary in quality from show to show and season to season so hopefully Batwoman comes out swinging.
