Jason Bateman's hilarious advice for The Bachelorette's Becca and Garrett

Jason Bateman's hilarious advice for The Bachelorette's Becca and Garrett

As Becca tries to choose between stalwart Blake and Instagram xenophobe Garrett, host Chris Harrison veers from script and doesn't promise viewers the most dramatic finale ever, but the most emotional one. He cried talking to Becca's uncle Chuck, recalling relatives who had cancer while discussing the death of Becca's father.

The 29-year-old medical sales rep has made more headlines this season for his Instagram scandal than winning The Bachelorette, but he's ready to start his next chapter.

"Garrett's the one for me", she gushed of her happy ending.

"It was tough on my family because they know how I am as a person. You just need to decide what you want".

Becca gives the Final Rose to the man she gave the First Impression Rose to - just like JoJo, Kaitlyn and Rachel before her. I did not mean any harm by any of it.

She chose Yrigoyen in Monday's finale over Blake Horstmann. "I thank and love her everyday because of that", Arie continued in his post. I'm so happy that I pushed through to find what I've always wanted. He's so good at everything. "I just want to move forward and to learn and to grow and to continue to educate ourselves. It is painful. I have been doing this show since the beginning and I have really never seen anything like this". "I had two weeks off from work just to focus on my body and myself".

The reason I say nearly is because, while she waited, Becca said the man she was about to send home wouldn't see it coming and would feel blindsided, and there was no doubt that was Blake. "It's about who I can't picture my life without".

I understand very little through the world record amount of tears. And, you know, he didn't mean it. "So I stand by everything that I posted in my apology, and I'm just trying to grow as a person, be a better person on a daily basis", Yrigoyen said.

Blake was devastated and speechless for a moment.

A visibly heartbroken Horstmann told Kufrin she was making the wrong choice. However, toward the end of the season, Tia admitted to Becca that she still felt she could have a future with Colton.

All eyes on 'right-hand man' as Manafort trial resumes

She told Yrigoyen he was the first guy who she wrote about in her journal and that he reminded her of her dad. "I'm so shook, I'm looking into whether Barbra Steisand is cloning more than dogs". She said that he was incredible, kind and couldn't wait for him to meet her family.

While sailing on said water, Becca talks about family dynamics and Garrett's sensitivity - a rare [seemingly] serious conversation on the Bachelorette. In May, TMZ posted photos of Becca kissing a man that bore a strong resemblance to Garrett.

Harrison pressed Garrett on whether he thought Becca might break up with him after the Instagram situation became public. The proposal took place before those social media likes came to light. "People are entitled to their own beliefs".

It was all captured on camera in its hideously awkward glory, but there was one upside: Becca was named this season's bachelorette.
