Trump aims tweet at LeBron James, questions his intelligence

Earlier this week, James opened his remarkable I Promise public school in Akron, Ohio, which was the reason for his sit down with Lemon.

Trump entered one of basketball's most heated debates with a single tweet Friday evening, saying that James had been interviewed by CNN anchor Don Lemon, who Trump called "the dumbest man on television".

Rob Gorski issued a warning for Trump not to come to OH after disrespecting James.

The interview with Lemon only made direct mention of Trump at the end of the hour-long interview.

The administration's rule aims to preempt California's Clean Air Act (CAA) waiver and argues that it should be pulled entirely. The state's Democrats in Washington and Sacramento have come out aggressively against the proposal.

In a tweet, Trump took aim at two of his regular critics, James and cable TV news personality Don Lemon.

"Look, there might be a cautionary lesson in LeBron for kids". According to the LeBron James Foundation, the I Promise School integrates the STEM curriculum with the foundation's We Are Family philosophy to create a supportive environment for students and their families.

In June, Trump said that neither the Cleveland Cavaliers - James' previous team - nor the Golden State Warriors would be invited to the White House following the NBA Finals. Trump subsequently said neither team would be invited.

James said Trump is creating a wedge by using situations like National Football League player Colin Kaepernick kneeling during the anthem and "uninviting" NBA star Steph Curry to the White House. That's something that I can't relate to, because I know that sport was the first time I ever was around someone white.

China immediately expanded its own list of types of US products to be tariffed, including farm products, cars and crude oil. Answering a reporter's question about what was specifically said on trade, Wang said: "We did not speak in such details".

As of late Friday night, James had not responded to the president's tweet.

"We want every kid that walks through this school to be inspired, to come ... away with something, something where they can give back", said James, who poured millions from his own pocket into the project.

Trump hasn't always had a negative opinion of James.

"For someone to try to divide us by using our platform of sport?" he told Nichols.

"If someone tried to recruit a LeBron to run for president, they said, 'Listen, they've got no one, if you don't run, Trump's going to win, ' would you run?"
