The storm has started moving northeast - away from the USA - after staying stationary for a couple of days.

Environment Canada says Tropical Storm Chris is expected to make landfall in Newfoundland later this week as a post-tropical storm.

The storm became more organized Tuesday with a well-defined eye appearing.

Chris's wind field was expanding.
