Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago Files Request To Hire Foreign Workers - Again

Donald Trump wants to hire 61 people from overseas to come and work as waiters and cooks at his luxury Mar-a-Lago resort.

As per the Job Order Records filed on Thursday and Friday, July 5 and 6, the Florida resort has requested for 61 H-2B visas, 40 of which were for servers, while 21 were for cooks. At the end of mentioned period, they would be expected to return home.

H-2B visas, however, can only be obtained if there are no American workers available, which the President has insisted otherwise throughout his campaign and presidency. The H-2B visa is for "temporary non-agricultural workers".

The President has said before in a 2015 interview with MSNBC that "getting help in Palm Beach during the season is nearly impossible".

They are shaped by love of Holy Scripture, prayer and community; and the Church's mission is richer for their presence". But the second time around, Murkowski could prove to be more hard for the White House to get a solid yes.

The increases in the numbers of foreign workers sought by Mar-a-Lago come at a time when the club's business model seems to be changing - transformed, by Trump's divisive politics from a club focused on charity galas to a GOP clubhouse frequented by Trump's friends and allies.

Meanwhile, waiters working at the club have been given a slight pay increase - up from $11.88 to $12.68 this year.

The Post found a pattern that showed $25,000 donations were typically given to a charity by the Trump Foundation after an event was relocated to Mar-a-Lago from a different venue.

Last year, after Trump said there were "very fine people" among violent crowds of protesters in Charlottesville, many of Trump's longtime charity clients quit.

Mar-a-Lago's competitors in Palm Beach, including other social clubs and hotels, have also used foreign labor.

Other Trump-related businesses have also gone outside the U.S.to pad its seasonal work force. Apart from many other ramifications, it could blow back on his beloved resort as it majorly relies on foreign workers, majority Haitians, to fill seasonal jobs that Americans apparently don't want.

Despite President Trump's push for US companies to hire American workers, even his own businesses are not complying. Trump's golf club in Westchester County, N.Y., asked to hire 14 foreign staff for cook and server spots.
