Trump Attacks Harley Over Possible Overseas Production

According to CNBC, Harley-Davidson revealed it was planning to get around the tariffs by shifting some production overseas. The EU's hike in tariffs was introduced as a retaliatory move in reply to Trump's price hike on imported aluminium and steel into the US. Trump then threatened the company "will be taxed like never before" if they follow through with the move.

Soon thereafter Trump, who had batted for Harley-Davidson's case against India over its high tariffs on the iconic motorcycles, had criticised the company for its plan to shift some of its production units overseas.

Last year, Harley-Davidson announced it would build a plant in Thailand after Trump pulled out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal, which would have abolished tariffs on their motorcycles across 40 percent of the world's economy. That was an empty threat - all motorcycles Harley sells in the U.S. come from American factories, and the company won't import into the market.

His suspension effectively started on that date as all the games that he already missed will be counted as part of the 75. Toronto Blue Jays blogger and writer, GIF maker, baseball moustache aficionado, runner, beer admirer, proud dad.

He accused India of charging tariffs as high as 100% on imported American products and called for them to be removed.

The Milwaukee-based company said on Monday it will move production of motorcycles shipped to the European Union from the United States to its worldwide facilities and forecast that the trading bloc's tariffs - introduced as a counter to Trump's tariffs on some EU-produced metals - would cost the company $90 million to $100 million a year. If they move, watch it, it will be the beginning of the end. "Now they are trying to use the tariffs to excuse and deflect from that decision". He added: "The Aura will be gone and they will be taxed like never before!"

Trump says in tweets Tuesday that the company had already announced it was closing a Kansas City plant.

Heather Locklear arrested for alleged attack on deputy, EMT
USA TODAY has requested comments from several representatives for Locklear; none immediately responded to the inquiry. According to RadarOnline.com, Locklear checked into a 5-day detox center in L.A., but left after two days.

"A Harley-Davidson should never be built in another country-never!" he said earlier on Twitter. The company opened an assembly plant in Brazil in 1998, another in India in 2010, and is building one in Thailand that it expects to start production later this year. According to Bloomberg, Harley's USA sales have dropped every quarter since Q1 2015.

Trump first responded angrily to the Harley announcement on Monday, saying he has supported the 115-year-old manufacturer and was surprised by its plans, which he described as waving the "White Flag".

The company is only the latest targeted by Trump for various reasons.
