Google to invest $550 million in China e-commerce giant JD.com

Google is investing $550 million in JD.com, China's second-largest online retailer. This includes USA and European markets, with products from the Chinese retailer appearing in relevant Google Search results.

JD will start selling products on Google Shopping, helping it reach consumers in the US and Europe as it seeks to diversify beyond China's highly competitive e-commerce market.

Giuliani Says Mueller Probe Should Be Investigated
Giuliani's call for investigations of the investigations was echoed Sunday by Stephen Bannon, a former top White House aide. According to Giuliani, Trump is not considering pardoning Cohen or Manafort, but may change his mind.

JD.com's US -listed shares rose 0.4 percent to close at $43.76 on Nasdaq. Walmart teamed up with Google a year ago as both battle Amazon.

The move for a distribution platform like Google to back a service provider like JD.com is interesting since the company, through search and advertising, has relationships with a range of e-commerce firms including JD.com's arch rival Alibaba. The service displays items at the top of Google's search pages, allowing users to compare prices across different websites. Japan's SoftBank Group Corp, which is making big internet investments around the globe, is a major investor in Alibaba.

Hundreds March To Texas Tent City Holding Detained Immigrant Kids
Reporters who visited the shelter were not allowed to interview the children, but said that the kids did not look visibly upset. Hundreds of families have been separated , with parents detained and their children placed in government shelters.

The deal will also see JD.com products appear on Google Shopping in the United States and Europe.

The partnership will combine Google's technology and JD's logistics and supply chain to develop "next generation retail infrastructure solutions", and "personalised and frictionless" shopping experiences.

No need to justify separating kids, parents at border: Bannon
Sanders stonewalled the question and continued to blame the Democrats - as has President Trump - for the fiasco. None of those laws or precedents mean that children must be taken away from their parents.

The investment may give Google access to more consumer data, which can be used to boost usage of Google Shopping, said Morningstar analyst Ali Mogharabi.
