IPhone SE 2, iOS 12, Apple Watch and MacBook update TODAY

The company announced the new feature at its Worldwide Developer Conference 2018 keynote presentation.

Today at Apple's World Wide Developer Conference, Craig Federighi, SVP, Software Engineering, announced Apple is working to bring the best of the iPhone to the Mac.

Next, iOS 12 introduces new AR Kit 2 and a brand-new file format for 3D graphics - USDZ. Apple is adding a new for your tab, similar to Microsoft' carousel in the Photos app on Windows 10. Even if you have an iPhone SE or iPhone 5s, you'll be getting iOS 12 too.

Apple is upgrading your iPhone's notifications with iOS 12. The updates include loads of new features across the board, and as usual, the first developer betas have been released immediately following the keynote.

IOS 12, macOS, watchOS 5 and more
However, unlike iOS updates in the past, iOS 12 may be more focused on refinement rather than offering a bunch of new features. The next version of iOS tends to come out around the time of the next Apple event, which usually happens around September.

FaceTime will soon be able to support video chats with up to 32 people.

As people speak, they are presented as tiles.

The features will help users understand their own phone use, from the amount of time spent on the phone itself to more detailed breakdowns. Called a Memoji, the feature;ets you create a cartoon version of yourself.

As with all Apple software updates, enhanced privacy and security remain a top priority in iOS 12. The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are on the list, too, together with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. And if you want to watch it, there are several options.

Apple's WWDC 2018 Promises Plenty of Software Talk-And Maybe Some iPads
Hardware announcements are expected to be few and far between, with iPhone SE 2 expected to hog the limelight among the hardware. The precise details of how Apple's new system will work, or if it would support three or more players, were not available.

Apple's Siri voice assistant has avoided splashy headlines about privacy issues mostly because it is not created to be listening and collecting data 24/7 like Amazon's Alexa and the Google Assistant - but Siri's not ideal, either. Need to call your grandmother for her birthday? The company said the operating system would work on the same devices as iOS 11, a range of products that date back to 2013. Kayak, the travelling app, could be linked by just recording "Travel Plans" as a command.

To start the show, Apple showed us a lighthearted view of the community of developers and how developers could encourage one another to build incredible apps. In a demo run by Lego, two iPads were shown to be running an AR game focused on a small lego building.

By tapping and "drawing" a line with the app and your device's camera, it provides measurements of 3D objects like a suitcase - in inches and centimetres. You can search by activities, events, locations, vacations, items. Here's a look at what to expect at this year's WWDC.

Do Not Disturb can now also be used for a set time period. The latest version of Google's mobile operating system, Android P, also comes with an "app dashboard" which allows users to set time limits on individual apps as well as a wind-down mode before bedtime that stops notifications and turns the screen to greyscale.
