United States official arrives in Singapore to begin logistics prep for NK summit

In the meantime, South Korean President Moon Jae-in and Kim held a second meeting in Panmunjom Saturday.

The South Korean news agency, Yonhap, clarified that the official who would be representing North Korea is Kim Chang Son, Kim Jong Un's acting chief-of-staff.

Trump previously cancelled the planned June 12 summit in Singapore with Kim, focusing on the denuclearization of North Korea in a letter to Kim Jong Un. Mr. Moon brought this up again last weekend, and told the press, "Should the North Korea-US summit succeed, I would like to see efforts to formally end the (Korean) war through a three-way summit of the South, the North and the US".

Sung Kim, a former ambassador to South Korea who has also negotiated with North Korea over its weapons program, is heading the United States team in the Hermit Kingdom.

South Korean officials have said President Moon Jae-in could attend a possible summit between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un.

Why you must catch up on lost sleep in weekends
People in their late teens and 20s slept on average for seven hours a night during the week but 8.5 hours on days off. They are the ones who can compensate with longer rest on the weekends , because there is not as much of a deficit.

"Disadvantages that would have stopped other presidents - that North Korea would be left with nominally much stronger forces than the South, that China would be the long-term beneficiary of a United States withdrawal from Northeast Asia, that other allies around the world including in Europe would feel undermined - will not necessarily halt Trump".

But Mr Moon suggested Mr Kim was not certain whether Washington could guarantee the stability of his regime.

The State Department later confirmed that the two sides were having talks in the truce village of Panmunjom, which sits on the inter-Korean border.

The White House was prepared to announce additional sanctions this week but held off after Trump said he was working on a potential meeting with Kim, according to The Wall Street Journal.

"Well, I hope that's where we come out", Hayden said.

Fernando Alonso was another driver who also reported problems before a gearbox issue finally forced him out of the race. Then the German had a problem with his dash going blank, which gave Lewis Hamilton a chance to put some pressure on.

Choe's participation in the discussions at Panmunjom with US officials indicates discussions have entered the diplomatic level to officially iron out various details of negotiation. They allowed Moon to push for a US-North Korean summit that he sees as the best way to ease animosity that had some fearing a war in 2017.

Sung Kim had been on standby in Seoul since last week.

He later said the United States was talking to North Korea and it could still go ahead. The U.S. delegation reportedly included Sung Kim, U.S. ambassador to the Philippines and a former U.S. special representative for North Korea policy.

"Chairman Kim agreed on that", he added. "But he wants to give off this perception that he's this open leader, that he's peaceful, that he's reasonable", Mr. Rubio said on ABC's "This Week".

Moon, who returned to Seoul on Thursday morning after meeting Trump in Washington in a bid to keep the high-stakes US-North Korea summit on track, said he delivered a message of Trump's "firm will" to end the hostile relationship with North Korea and pursue bilateral economic cooperation.
