WWE SmackDown Set For TV Bidding War?

The deal for the Monday night show is reportedly triple that of what WWE was previously getting from NBCU.

According to The Hollywood Reporter's Matthew Belloni, we could see RAW and Smackdown on separate networks in the future.

WWE's deal with USA / NBC expires on September 30, 2019, and they are now in an exclusive negotiating period with each other until the end of this spring. Fox, who in January scored a massive five-year, $550 million per year deal for the rights to the NFL's Thursday Night Football, is being speculated as a home for Smackdown Live.

WWE Raw looks set to remain on the USA Network after the company's current set of TV rights expire in September 2019, but the same can't be said for SmackDown.
