Sens. Burr, Warner: 'No doubt' Russian Federation tried to interfere in 2016 election

Goldstone was told he needed to secure the June 2016 meeting with a "well-connected" Russian lawyer who was prepared to pass along "damaging material" to the Trump family.

"I did not collude with any foreign government and do not know of anyone who did", the president's son said in the interview with the committee's staff on September 7, 2017.

"The Russian effort was extensive, sophisticated and ordered by (Russian) President Putin himself for the goal of helping Donald Trump and hurting Hillary Clinton", Warner said.

Goldstone and Kaveladze also testified about two attempts to set up a meeting between the senior Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"I expected there to be something that would make people react", he told the committee. Among its conclusions were that Russian President Vladimir Putin "ordered an influence campaign in 2016" aimed at the USA presidential election.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley and the Judiciary Committee released 2,000 pages of transcripts from interviews it conducted with Donald Trump Jr. and other participants of a June 2016 Trump Tower meeting. The meeting provided no meaningful information and turned out to be not about what was represented. There is "Trump Change", a 1998 cut off of E-40's Hall of Game, but I severely doubt that anyone who knows Donald Trump is cool enough to put him onto late-90s E-40. "I totally understand re Moscow - unless maybe he would welcome a meeting with President Putin which Emin would set up", he wrote on July 24, 2015.

Goldstone went on to relay that the Washington Post was reporting that the FBI was investigating the meeting.

At first, it looked as if Putin would accommodate Trump.

While in Moscow, Trump attended a reception at the Nobu restaurant, where someone asked him his view on Russian Federation.

The shares of the company closed at ₹ 336.65 a scrip on the BSE , up 0.87 per cent from the previous close. The company said that the agreement for the joint venture is expected to be signed in the current quarter.

"I had seen the interaction of business leaders who had met with him at a dinner, a cocktail party that had been arranged", Goldstone testified.

But as he sat in the meeting, Goldstone later recalled in his Senate testimony, he was waiting for the "smoking gun" to be revealed.

Torshin and Butina "have longstanding ties" to former NRA President David Keene, the report said.

Following the pageant, Trump's new Russian friends stayed in touch.

From Russia, the Agalarovs tracked the campaign.

Trump has taken umbrage at the intelligence community's determination that the Kremlin favored his candidacy over Clinton's.

By June 2016, Trump had clinched the Republican nomination.

Juventus clinches seventh consecutive Serie A title
After a goalless first half, Milan midfielder Franck Kessie opened the scoring for his side in the 60th minute. Sunday's 0-0 draw with Roma saw Juve confirmed as Scudetto winners for another season.

In the undated text chain, Goldstone consulted Emin Agalarov on the draft of what he called "my ideal statement" on the Trump Tower meeting. He also said she would bring "damaging information" about Democrats and Clinton, Goldstone recalled.

"In the call at the end, [I said] that I believed it was a bad idea and that we shouldn't do it", Goldstone said.

"He said, 'it doesn't matter". "This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russian Federation and its government's support for Mr. Trump-helped along by Aras and Emin", Goldstone wrote.

Q: "And what about the thing that says, 'It is part of Russian Federation and its government's support for Mr. Trump.' Did you also love that?"

The president's son acknowledged he too was disappointed that the Russian lawyer did not provide more information that could be used in the campaign: "All else being equal, I wouldn't have wanted to waste 20 minutes hearing about something that I wasn't supposed to be meeting about", he told the committee. A Clinton supporter, Kaveladze testified he considered backing out when he got wind that it was meant to hurt the Democrat's campaign. Among those attending was lobbyist and former Soviet counterintelligence officer Rinat Akhmetshin.

It's clear Trump Jr. meant to get opposition research from Veselnitskaya in the meeting, but part of his defense has always been that he was unsuccessful in doing so - that the meeting was a bust.

By consensus, the meeting did not go well.

This document dump, on the eve of the one-year anniversary of Mueller's appointment to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, is providing more fodder for the special counsel to scrutinize the underlying motivations of both Trump himself and other key players in the saga, and to check the veracity of Trump Jr.'s statements against the actual facts.

The employee told the committee that Agalarov "secretly requested" the meeting through a Russian government official. In response, Russia banned American adoptions of Russian children. His statement did not mention the sanctions law or the offer of dirt on Clinton.
