Lawyer: I Discussed Accusations Against Schneiderman With Michael Cohen In 2013

The attorney, Peter Gleason, wrote a request for a protective order on any records that had to do with Gleason's discussions with Cohen regarding two women who said they were sexually abused by Schneiderman. "'Unfortunately, I had to advise this woman against reporting the incident to the Manhattan District Attorney Office" due to what he said was it past experience ignoring 'political corruption'.

Yes, Gleason says that women came to him a few years ago with details of serious allegations against Schneiderman, and at one point he spoke with Cohen about it.

Instead of consulting with a District Attorney or fellow lawyer or victims advocate, Gleason discussed the cases with former NY Post journalist Steve Dunleavy (whom investigative reporter Tom Robbins calls "the ultimate Murdoch reporter"), who in turn offered to talk to Donald Trump about the two cases.

"During my communications with Mr. Cohen I shared with him certain details of Schneiderman's vile attacks on these two women", the letter states. Is he a crook?

In an interview with the New York Times, Gleason confirmed his conversation with Cohen occurred "shortly before" Trump posted his cryptic tweet.

Two F-22 fighter jets from the third Wing at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, conduct strategy coaching, on this U.S. The jets never entered US airspace, according to the report, and turned back after passing the Aleutian Islands.

Gleason's letter was the latest salvo in a battle over the records seized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation last month from Cohen's office and residences and electronic devices.

According to Gleason, this included contacts between him and Cohen about 'two women that were sexually victimized by Mr. Scheinderman'.

Editor's note: A previous version of this article inaccurately reported that Gleason was Cohen's attorney.

The White House, the New York Attorney General's office and a lawyer for Cohen did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Gleason wrote in his letter that he does not know whether Cohen's seized documents contain any information about that conversation but that he is concerned about the privacy of the alleged victims.

Schneiderman resigned this week amid allegations that he physically and verbally abused four women.

In his interview Friday, Gleason also said he had told several elected officials of his concerns about Schneiderman's abusive behavior almost five years ago, but was rebuffed. Mr. Trump has tweeted a number of insults about Schneiderman that were less vague than the one mentioning former New York Attorney General Elliot Spitzer or former New York Rep. Anthony Weiner, both of whom saw their political careers ended by sex scandals. "Wait and see, worse than Spitzer or Weiner". In August of that year, Schneiderman's office sued Trump University, a now-defunct real estate seminar program, alleging it had swindled its students.

Correction: The headline on an earlier version of this story misspelled the name of Eric Schneiderman.
