Skechers Sues Adidas Over FBI Probe Into Basketball Investigation

The lawsuit claims Skechers can't compete for endorsement deals for those players because adidas has allegedly bribed them to sign.

Skechers has filed a lawsuit against Adidas and claims Skechers was at an unfair advantage as a result of the issues centered around the FBI's investigation into college basketball, reports the Louisville Courier Journal's Gentry Estes.

She also said evidence suggested that Skechers meant to confuse consumers by creating the "nearly identical" Onix, and then directing consumers who searched online for "adidas stan smith" to the Onix website.

Dwyer said investigators are confident they could find bodies in a wooded area they began digging up this week. Arthur Ream was convicted of murder within her slaying. "I would describe Ream as a serial rapist and killer".

The allegations go on to say adidas created an appearance that top-caliber basketball players chose its products, when in reality the company "coopted young players into wearing and expressly or implicitly endorsing its products by funneling hundreds of thousands of dollars in secret payments to players, their coaches, and/or family members in violation of National Collegiate Athletic Association ("NCAA") rules".

Many are filed by companies such as Adidas against companies such as Skechers whose products sell for lower prices.

An Adidas spokesperson responded to the suit with this statement: "The Skechers complaint is frivolous and nonsensical and should be summarily dismissed".

Looking to pull from outside off stump, he failed to get on top of the bounce and skied a top-edge to deep square leg. MI can not afford to lose even one of their next four matches if they are to stand a chance of retaining the title.

Skechers is re-defining the term "sneaker wars".

Adidas argued in a lawsuit that the Onix was an illegal rip-off of its Stan Smith tennis shoe.

The company is seeking an injunction to prohibit Adidas from making further alleged payments to student athletes and demands a full declaration of all its alleged payments. Today, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld an earlier injunction prohibiting the sale of the Skechers Onix shoe. Skechers also feels that Adidas' funding is a simple workaround to actually paying the athletes upfront.
