Jammu and Kashmir Police spokesperson confirmed the development and said, "The youth was brutally murdered by Lashkar-e-Taiba militants". Police believes that the terrorist at the center of this incident is the local terrorist Mohommad Saleem Parrey.

Sources in the police said that Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists had abducted the slain youth and his father, Abdul Gafar Bhat from Hajin area on Wednesday on the apprehension of they being the informers of the security forces. According to the latest reports, police have revealed that the Manzoor Bhat has been killed by the militants and his decapitated body has been found in the outskirts of Hajin area in North Kashmir's Bandipora district on Friday.
