FTC Confirms Probe Into Facebook Privacy Practices

Reuters' publication revealed that fewer than half of Americans now trust Facebook to obey us privacy laws.

Reuters and other media outlets reported last week the FTC is reviewing whether Facebook violated a 2011 consent decree it reached with the authority over its privacy practices, a person briefed on the matter told Reuters.

The chief law enforcement officers for 37 US states and territories are demanding to know when Facebook learned of a huge breach of privacy protections.
