The secret behind David Warner's hand tape in South Africa

The secret behind David Warner's hand tape in South Africa

The pair were a constant presence in the headlines last week, with Quinton de Kock's staircase sledge followed by the Sonny Bill Williams mask saga that prompted Cricket South Africa to issue an apology.

Candice Warner was associated with Williams in a well-publicised toilet incident in Sydney in 2007.

Warner, who suffered a fractured left thumb in 2015, had heavy strapping over much of his left palm on day two of the second Test at Port Elizabeth.

It was a taunt about Warner's wife from de Kock that led to the Australian batsman's furious outburst as the teams returned to their dressing rooms at tea on day four of the first Test in Durban.

German power firm Innogy boosted by latest utility shake-up
Shares in RWE, which owns 76.8 percent of Innogy, closed 9.2 percent higher while E.ON's ended the day up 5.4 percent. However, the deal still needs the approval of each company's supervisory board.

While sports fans often engage in questionable behavior at stadiums, officials Eksteen, a former South Africa player, and Kazi are accused of condoning the taunting of Warner and his wife by South African supporters.

Having most likely copped all kinds of abuse from the Australians during his near four-hour stint at the crease, one retort from de Kock was enough for Warner and his teammates to insist that the little wicketkeeper had "crossed the line".

Clive Eksteen and Altaaf Kazi have been ordered to CSA headquarters in Johannesburg for a meeting, and the chances are high that they could lose their jobs.

Kazi denied that his actions amounted to support for those wearing the masks.

Come aveva sottolineato Mario Draghi qualche giorno fa, con non poca ironia, Trump sembra non distinguere piĆ¹ "amici e nemici" nella questione dei dazi.

Kazi and Eksteen were then contacted by the fans and met them at the gates, where it was decided that they would be allowed in. We let people in with Hashim Amla beards.

In a statement released on Saturday morning, CSA said: "While CSA respects the rights of its fans to represent their own points of view, CSA does not associate itself with these actions and urges all Protea supporters from refraining from being involved in distasteful or unwelcome actions that may impact the image of the sport and its supporters". CSA president Chris Nenzani apologized to the Australian cricket board, the team management, players and their families for the incident.

The statement said CSA had taken "immediate precautionary steps" against the officials and that there would be an internal disciplinary process.
