Apple Fix for Telugu Character Crash Bug Coming in Minor iOS Update

Reports also indicate that users hit with the bug aren't able to re-open the respective messaging app - it will continue to crash. The bug seems to be fixed on the latest iOS 11.3 developer beta already, though it's affecting the latest, public version of iOS which is what the majority of iPhone users are now using. It's very likely that Apple has already been made aware of this issue and a fix for this bug will be available once the final version of iOS 11.3 is released to everyone sometime this spring.

As well as Apple's own Messages app, it's also enough to bring down third-party apps like Facebook Messenger, Gmail, WhatsApp, and Outlook for iOS. In 2016, another bug could crash any iPhone or the Safari browser if a user clicked the URL for CrashSafari.com. When that happens, the entire Springboard of iOS will be blocked. That automatically crashes the messaging app. However, iOS 11 is Apple's one of those releases which is crawling with bugs.

Mobile World published an image of the Telugu character that causes the iOS issues (but not the character itself).

While news of the bug first started circulating widely on Thursday, its existence was first spotted by developer Peter Steinberger on Monday. The bug is reportedly fixed in iOS 11.3 beta; however, that update may not arrive for some time.

They were told the radiation given off by the machine had the potential to be harmful to anyone silly enough to climb inside. Two X-ray images showed a silhouette of the woman, still in her high heels, kneeling on all fours behind her belongings.

The two specific characters that trigger the bug are shown below. Even more frustrating, it's not just a case of restarting the app and picking up where you left off. Don't what ever you do try to create a filesystem folder using that symbol. Your only hope is to find a way to delete the message or email from another device to free your iPhone from its cycle of trying and failing to load the character.
