Norway's Olympic Cooks Gets 15000 Eggs Instead of 1500

It is simple enough so what could possibly go wrong?

Chefs with the Norwegian Winter Olympic team found themselves with thousands of unwanted eggs after what they describe as an error while ordering for their hungry athletes from their South Korean base.

Norwegian chef Stale Johansen meant to place an order for 1,500 eggs to feed his country's Olympians at the Pyeongchang Games.

Cavs send Isaiah Thomas to Lakers
Thomas joined the Cavs during the offseason as part of the blockbuster trade that sent Kyrie Irving to Boston. Hopefully the Los Angeles Lakers stay out of the National Basketball Association trade deadline activity.

Some blamed the problem on Google Translate.

South Korea has a notoriously complex numerical system, with different systems of counting for different purposes.

Luckily for the team, they did not have to shell out for the extra eggs and were able to return the 13,500 extras.

Norwegian chef Tore Ovrebo struggled to suggest what they will do with the delivery, but did not rule out consuming them. NBC Olympics is the US broadcast rights holder to all Summer and Winter Games through the year 2032.

Amid the confusion, the chefs asked the driver to tell them how many eggs the order included. The case was first reported in the country last week but only now has attracted global attention.

But the chef's order apparently got lost in translate.
