Trump answers question about possible Mueller interview by attacking Hillary Clinton

During a press conference on Wednesday, President Donald Trump continued deriding the Russian Federation investigation as a "Democrat hoax" and claimed it "hurt" the United States government.

Asked again about a possible Mueller interview, Trump said, "I'll speak with attorneys". No formal request has been sent, and no date has been set, but Mr Trump's lawyers are reportedly debating how best to handle the request when it comes.

"When they have no collusion...it seems unlikely that you'd even have an interview", Trump said during a press conference at the White House Wednesday, during which he called the Russian Federation investigation a "Democratic hoax".

"It has been determined that there is no collusion", Trump falsely stated, "and by virtually everybody", which is a total lie.

The Russia investigation has hovered over the administration as Trump continues to try to tackle complex domestic issues, specifically immigration reform that both addresses the legal status of those covered by an Obama-era immigration policy allowing children brought to the United States illegally as children, as well as funding for his long-promised border wall.

Mueller indicted former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and another campaign aide, Rick Gates, in October. When Karl followed up to ask if he would do so with the special counsel, the president said he "would be glad to tell him exactly what I just told you". He says, "It seems unlikely you'd even have an interview".
