Powerful Earthquake in Caribbean Prompts Tsunami Warnings

A 7.6 magnitude natural disaster struck the Caribbean Sea Tuesday night, and the U.S. Tsunami Warning Center said a tsunami was possible for nearby islands, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The quake was felt across northern Central America, prompting a tsunami warning in Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean Islands, but little damage and no casualties have been reported.

Tsunami advisories were canceled overnight for Puerto Rico and other parts of the Caribbean after a powerful quake struck in the Caribbean Sea.

The epicenter is located off the northern coast of Honduras.
