Rahul Gandhi chairs 1st CWC meeting as Congress chief

Congress President Rahul Gandhi is slated to be in Gujarat on Saturday to attend a meeting to review and analyse how his party fared in the recently concluded Gujarat assembly elections.

Claiming there was a "positive sentiment" towards the Congress, he said: "I think there is a lot of opportunity for us that we need to step into and take advantage of".

Sources also stated that the Prime Minister asserted his electoral track record, saying that under the reign of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the Congress had been in power in 18 states, while the BJP now shares power in 19 states. "The whole architecture of the BJP is about lies", he said, and targeted it over various issues, including the "change" in Rafale deal, GST and demonetisation.
