Michael Flynn promised to 'rip up' sanctions against Russian Federation

Former White House national security advisor Michael Flynn texted a businessman during President Donald Trump's inauguration speech that a Middle East nuclear power plant scheme with Russian partners was "good to go", a Democratic lawmaker alleged Wednesday.

Flynn attempted to "manipulate the course of global nuclear policy for the financial gain of his business partners", and assured a business partner the United States would relax sanctions once he worked in Trump's White House, Cummings wrote to House Oversight Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-South Carolina.

Mr Cummings detailed the Flynn claims in a letter to congressman Trey Gowdy, Republican chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Cummings did not identify the whistleblower. But he asked Gowdy to issue a subpoena to the White House for documents related to Flynn, saying the committee has "credible allegations" that Flynn "sought to manipulate the course of global nuclear policy for the financial gain of his former business partners".

However, Donald Gross, a lawyer for ACU Strategic Partners, denied that there was any contact between his company and Flynn at any point while Flynn was working for Trump.

Mr Michael Conaway, who is leading the House Intelligence probe, declined to comment on Wednesday, saying he didn't yet know enough about the matter.

Gowdy said Wednesday afternoon that "criminal matters are investigated by the special counsel", adding that he had pledged to Robert Mueller that he would not do anything to interfere with his probe. "And if he wants to write me letters so you can ask me about it, and write a story, that's his prerogative, but the answer won't change". The administration has not lifted sanctions on Russian Federation.

As he did so, Pro Bowl Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown yelled the word "Karma" over and over in the background. Seeing an opportunity to take a free shot at Burfict, Smith-Schuster stuck his helmet into Burfict's jaw on a block.

"I believe the American people want Congress to hold President Trump and his Administration accountable, and they are exhausted of Republicans in Congress putting their heads in the sand", Cummings writes.

Flynn pleaded guilty Friday to lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation during its probe of Russian interference in the presidential election, including about conversations with Russia's ambassador to the US about sanctions.

"Our committee has credible allegations that President Trump's national security advisor sought to manipulate the course of global nuclear policy for the financial gain of his former business partners", said Cummings.

Flynns financial disclosure did not cite those payments, but he did report that until December 2016, he worked as an adviser to two other companies that partnered with Copsons firm.

Copson then flashed his phone at the whistleblower and said, "I just got this text message" from Flynn, who said the nuclear project was "good to go".

According to The Wall Street Journal, he also discussed the nuclear plan with Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and a close friend of the president, Thomas Barrack.

"Mike has been putting everything in place for us", Copson said, according to the whistleblower. The witness could not read the text, but he saw that the time stamp was 12:11 p.m., according to Cummings' letter.

Google pulling YouTube from Echo Show and Fire TV
According to the data from research firm eMarketer , Amazon's voice-controlled devices have been outsold Google's devices. In September, Google removed YouTube from the Amazon Echo Show before later reintroducing the video sharing application.

'Our committee has credible allegations that President Trump's National Security Advisor sought to manipulate the course of global nuclear policy for the financial gain of his former business partners, ' wrote Cummings, Politico reported in a story on the letter.

He greeted Mr Copson at the event, and asked how he was doing.

Neither Copson nor an attorney for ACU responded to a request for comment. The whistle-blower, Mr. Cummings said, is willing to meet with Mr. Gowdy if he agrees to protect the person's identity.

"Although this individual was extremely hesitant to come forward - and still fears retaliation - the whistleblower has chose to do so now because this individual feels duty bound as a citizen to make this disclosure", he wrote.

Before joining the Trump campaign, "Flynn had worked on a business venture to partner with Russian Federation to build nuclear power plants in the Middle East until June 2016, but remained close with the people involved afterward", The New York Times.

In June, Newsweek revealed that while he was an adviser to Trump, Flynn had done work for a consortium led by Copson and former senior US military officials to build nuclear power plants in the Middle East in a partnership with a Russian state-owned energy contractor.
