Unlike Bond who did the daredevil jump in one effort, Fred Fugen and Vince Reffet, took more than 100 practice flights to ideal the stunt with pilot Philippe Bouvier and co-ordinator and navigator Yves Rossy.

Their dive was completed as part of their project A Door in the Sky - which they trained for for several months, completing more than 100 test flights in Empuriabrava in Spain.
