Samsung Releases Galaxy S8 Android 8.0 Oreo Beta 3

The update came close on the heels of the UK Beta Team confirming in response to a query by a user on Samsung Members community that the Android 8.0 Oreo beta 3 would be released soon. The flagships are scheduled to make their first appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show, which will begin on January 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, the leakster has also claimed through another tweet that these model numbers may belong to Galaxy A8 (2018) and A8 Plus (2018).

Here's where things get a little interesting: Other than their screen sizes, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ were almost identical in every way. The Galaxy S9 will also share the same fate - retain the design of the S8 but have completely new innards.

Samsung's very own foldable phone idea has been around for quite some time but it hasn't b en implemented still.

For at least the past two years, there have been rumours that Samsung is close to showing off its first smartphones that can be folded. Lastly, the publication says that the brand is also planning to introduce a backward-compatible DeX docking station through which users can utilize the screen as either a touchpad or a virtual keyboard. Considering that the Galaxy S8 and Note 8 are now in the market, Samsung would not want to hinder sales by releasing information on the Galaxy X too early.
