UCLA meets with Chip Kelly as potential replacement for Jim Mora

Former Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly, whose brashness and unique methods turned him into a polarizing figure in the city, will soon decide whether to accept a college head coaching offer from UCLA or Florida, according to ESPN.

As he sits out a year working for ESPN, it's been a foregone conclusion Chip Kelly will return to coaching next season. He coached the San Francisco 49ers to a 2-14 record in 2016 and was sacked. He was 28-35 in four seasons as an National Football League coach, including three with the Philadelphia Eagles. He also met with officials from Florida on Sunday, and may have gone from a previous verbal agreement to actually signing a non-binding agreement to be the next Gators' coach.

India's nominee Dalveer Bhandari re-elected to International Court of Justice
Dalveer Bhandari was a judge in the Indian judiciary for more than 20 years, before his elevation to the United Nations court. She specifically complimented India's Permanent Representative in the UN, Syed Akbaruddin.

While the Gators think and hope they'll land Kelly, they are looking at other coaches in the event they miss out.

The UCLA job is more fresh, with Jim Mora being relieved of his duties on Sunday, hours removed from the Bruins' loss to USC. The recruiting relationships he established in the West Coast while at OR could be invaluable at UCLA, while not a big factor in the state of Florida.

Pending the results of the legal process, Jones could be punished by the National Football League to start the 2018 season. Jones was charged with operating with a restricted controlled substance, operating without a valid license and speeding.
