In Call With Times Reporter, Trump Projects Air of Calm Over Charges

US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner has turned over documents to Special Counsel Robert Mueller as investigators have begun interrogations about the senior advisor's role in the firing of former FBI Director James Comey, the media reported.

It's not clear what role, if any, Kushner played in Comey's firing in May, according to CNN.

United States investigators are also reportedly looking into Tony Podesta, a prominent Democratic lobbyist, and Vin Weber, a former GOP congressman, the Associated Press reports.

It comes just days after Mr Mueller issued indictments for two of Mr Trump's former campaign staffers, reportedly causing mass panic among Mr Trump's inner circle. Separately, Trump official George Papadopoulos agreed to a plea deal, admitting he lied to FBI investigators.

Texans QB Deshaun Watson tears ACL in practice
Watson left the game twice, including an early trip to the locker room at the end of the first half, but returned each time. Watson got up and felt his knee before it was looked it, but the person said no one believed the injury was season-ending.

But sources close to the investigation say Kushner is not yet a target of the investigation. Kushner attended the June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower between top Trump campaign officials and a cadre of Russian figures, including some with links to the Kremlin.

As the legal noose around the Trump campaign tightens, tensions are reportedly soaring in the West Wing between the president and his son-in-law/top adviser.

According to a source familiar with the conversation, Trump agreed with Stone.

The indictments included charges against Mr Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, and former adviser George Papadopoulos.

Gender equality in SA is sliding - WEF
WEF data showed the country's ranking declined to 25th in economic participation and opportunity in 2017, from 21st in 2016. The Republic was ranked eighth out of 144 states, slipping two places since a year ago when it dropped from fifth to sixth.

Trump made the purported remarks during a phone call with former White House Chief Strategist, and alleged Kushner adversary, Steve Bannon. An NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released on Sunday put Mr. Trump's approval rating at 38 percent - the lowest for the survey since February, when he was a month into his presidency.

That report said that Ivanka and Jared would try to stick around in Washington through the end of the 2018 school year, but they could bail sooner. Some people close to the White House believe it simply reflected a political neophyte wanting to get rid of a presidential enemy without understanding the ramifications, or a son-in-law trying to please his father-in-law and boss.

'Jared is the worst political adviser in the White House in modern history, ' Nunberg told Vanity Fair. The former advisor added, " I would say [Kushner] should go back to real estate in NY.

The White House didn't respond to Vanity Fair's request for comment.
