Sasi started his career as an art director and after his first couple of films as director went uncredited, he finally debuted officially with Utsavam in 1975, at the age of 27. In his forty year career, this director's films had a special place owing to his unconventional style and his unique approach to the 70s, 80s and 90s, this director changed the face of Malayalm cinema with his sheer brilliance.
