A 3.0L flat-six powers the Carrera T, making 339 lb-ft of torque and hitting 182 miles per hour top speed.

The interior can be as back-to-basics as you like, with reduced sound deadening, lightweight glass for the rear and rear-side windows, no rear seats, door handles (instead, you get these nylon loops) or even Porsche's infotainment system.

Release date and pricing is yet to be confirmed for New Zealand, but it will cost €107,553 in Germany where the standard 911 Carrera costs about €10,000 less.

The lightest and fastest 911 T costs $103,150 and the vehicle will be seen on the roads in March 2018.

The Carrera T shares its 3-litre flat-six turbocharged engine with the standard Carrera, producing 365bhp and a stout 332lb ft of torque. In terms of design, the special 911 features 20-inch wheels, black exhaust tips for the standard sport exhaust, and a front spoiler lip created to improve aerodynamics. They face a GT Sport steering wheel with a driving mode selection switch. The SportDesign exterior mirrors feature an Agate Grey finish, along with the louvers of the rear decklid grill, the Porsche logotype, and the model designation "911 Carrera T".
