Breathtaking journey of award-winning series The Blue Planet

Oscar-winning film and TV composer Zimmer has collaborated with Radiohead's Thom Yorke for an orchestral version of the track Bloom, renamed (ocean) Bloom, inspired by the sounds of the documentary. David Attenborough narrates the prequel video and will narrate the new series, as he has the first Blue Planet and its sequels in his "Life" series of productions, including 2002's The Life of Mammals and 2006's Planet Earth. Planet Earth: Blue Planet II, a 7x60' will air early 2018 on BBC America, and is made by BBC Studios' Natural History Unit, co-produced with BBC America, WDR and France Télévisions in partnership with The Open University.

Blue Planet II comes more than 15 years after the original Blue Planet series which aired in 2001.
