Boris eyes up No 10 with blueprint for better Brexit

The Brexit heavyweights have told the prime minister to boost NHS spending by £10bn a year when Britain leaves the EU.

"Once we have settled our accounts, we will take back control of roughly £350m per week", he said. "It would be a fine thing, as many of us have pointed out, if a lot of that money went on the NHS".

"And that's what we're doing because we had a referendum campaign past year, a lot of strong language was used, it got quite bitter at times".

Boris Johnson has been accused of "back-seat driving" Brexit by a top minister after penning a lengthy essay on his vision for the United Kingdom after leaving Europe that has been widely seen as jockeying for leadership.

However, the foreign secretary's decision to reopen the debate was not welcomed by Cabinet colleagues including the home secretary, Amber Rudd, and first secretary of state, Damian Green.

Writing later on Twitter, Mr Johnson said that he was "looking forward" to the prime minister's speech next Friday in Florence - in which she is expected to set out details of the UK's "special partnership" with the European Union after Brexit.

"All those who write off this country, who think we don't have it in us, who think that we lack the nerve and confidence to tackle the task ahead, they have been proved wrong before, and believe me they will be proved wrong again", Mr Johnson said.

Sir David Norgrove said it was a "clear misuse of statistics" in a letter to the Johnson.

While Haley didn't go into specifics, she did say that Trump knows how to act when dealing with each country. He calls on all nations to enforce them and do everything they can to address the threat and prevent war.

"I know what an irrepressible enthusiast (Johnson) is about Brexit, and what he's done is set it out there, I think it's absolutely fine, I would expect nothing less from Boris", she said. May's speech may be seen by many as a challenge to her authority, weakened by a poor result in the June 8 election that cost her Conservative Party its majority in Parliament.

"I would say to [Johnson] come with us and make sure you support the government on trying to unite people around the exit we are going to deliver".

Later, after the motives and timing of his intervention were criticised, Mr Johnson insisted in a tweet linked to his article that he was "looking forward to PM's Florence speech".

With May due to set out her vision for Brexit in a speech in the Italian city of Florence on September 22, Johnson published a 4,300-word newspaper article on September 16 that roamed well beyond his ministerial brief and, in some cases, went beyond the approach set out by the government.

Trump extends sanction waivers for Iran while imposing new ones
Struck by the previous administration under Barack Obama, the landmark deal has consistently come under fire from Trump, who labeled it " the worst deal ever ".

Yet these events do reveal the folly of marginalising Mr Johnson who was the most high-profile advocate of Brexit in the European Union referendum.
