Trump won't stop lying about Susan Rice

Former national security adviser Susan Rice reportedly "unmasked" the identities of Trump transition officials in order to determine why the crown prince of the United Arab Emirates visited NY previous year. "What she did was wrong".

As CNN first reported, Rice explained to the committee that she wanted to learn why the crown prince of the United Arab Emirates was in NY past year.

Nonetheless, Trump has continued to insist that the Obama administration's "unmasking and surveillance" is a huge story that the mainstream media simply refuses to touch. CNN reported that the crown prince met with several top Trump officials during that trip, including Michael Flynn, Jared Kushner, and Steve Bannon.

The Obama administration felt misled by the United Arab Emirates, which had failed to mention that Zayed was coming to the United States even though it's customary for foreign dignitaries to notify the USA government about their travels, according to several sources familiar with the matter.

The New York meeting preceded an effort by the UAE to assist in setting up a back-channel line of communication between Trump's team and Russian Federation.

In an interview with PBS, Rice was asked about Nunes' concerns and whether the Trump team had "been caught up in surveillance of foreign individuals in that their identities may have been disclosed". Even well-informed Republican members of Congress acknowledge as much.

But he added, "There's a whole body of documents that I need to know whether or not what she said is corroborated or contradicted". 'That's why the president called for Congress to investigate this matter and why the Department of Justice and Intelligence Community are doing all they can to stamp out this unsafe trend that undermines our national security'. "I was surprised to see reports from Chairman Nunes on that count today".

Rep. Tom Rooney (R-FL) told CNN that he did not hear anything to believe that Rice did anything "illegal".

'I think what she did in her role was perfectly appropriate, so I think that people were impressed with her testimony, ' said the committee's ranking Democrat, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif.

Speaking to CNN, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders didn't explicitly say whether Trump still thought Rice had committed a crime, instead focusing on whether unmasking and leaking needs to be probed.
