The new variations of Necrozma are called Dusk Mane Necrozma, and Dawn Wings Necrozma (Solgaleo and Lunala respectively) and each game will also get an all-new Ultra Beast. UB Burst appears in Pokémon Ultra Sun and UB Assembly appears in Pokémon Ultra Moon. This new Rock-type Z-Move can remove various effects from a terrain, and can be used by having a Lycanroc learn the move Stone Edge and then having it hold the special Z-Crystal Lycanium Z. All three Lycanroc, Midday Form, Midnight Form and Dusk Form, can use Splintered Stormshards. "The new Nintendo 2DS XL sports a handsome clamshell design and offers a great balance between price and performance", said Reggie Fils-Aime, President, and COO, Nintendo (North America) during the console's launch.

The New 2DS XL Pokeball Edition is setfor launch on November 3. Also, players can obtain new items of clothing like a Pikachu cap.
