Ryan Howard agrees to minor league deal with Rockies

Howard signed a minor league deal with the Atlanta Braves in April, but never appeared in a game and was released on May 8 after struggling in the minors. His final season in the majors yielded uneven results, pairing an impressive 25 home runs with a less impressive.196/.257/.453 batting line in 362 PA.
