Joe Ingles not happy that Gordon Hayward left Jazz

The Jazz were left in limbo for the six hours between the time that ESPN's Chris Haynes broke the news that Hayward meant to sign with the Celtics and Hayward publicly announced the decision to leave the Jazz with an essay published on The Players' Tribune. Just saying, maybe he made the right choice. Celtics basketball boss Danny Ainge said.

But that's all window dressing at this point. It meant a lot, too, that Thomas has developed into one of the NBA's most electric guards and Hayward makes the right play nearly every single possession.

Boston fans can finally exhale. He went even further. The goal is to keep getting better and keep competing. It's something that I for sure think is attainable for us. But I think that we also lost Avery Bradley and Kelly Olynyk who are terrific players.

Perfect. Hayward is off to a great start.

Finally, the release date was confirmed as being Christmas Day 2018, which means we've got nearly 18 months to wait. However, the subsequent adventures of Mary Poppins remained only on the pages of the seven other P.L.

ESPN's Chris Haynes first broke the news of Hayward signing with the C's early afternoon on the Fourth of July.

Not only should Hayward positively impact the present state of the organization; his decision to sign with the Celtics will likely make Boston a more desirable place to play for future free agents.

"The last couple weeks have been pretty insane for me", Hayward said in a conference call with the media from his hom in San Diego. "This time it's at the next level". We felt like we had a great meeting with him ... and had a good day with him. Offseason for us guys is precious time, precious moments, so for them to show up was really cool for me.

"You can not be mad at somebody for wanting to play for another team", Gobert told ESPN while watching the Jazz's summer league team in Las Vegas. They weren't going take a step back. The main thing with [coach] Quin [Snyder] and Rudy is, what do we stand for?

The announcement triggered an immediate protest from the U.S. Mohseni-Eje'i said Wang was "directly directed by the US".

Which again brings us to playing in Boston. "So you could play him with the ball and Isaiah (Thomas) off the ball, or vise versa". "And I'm getting, like, I'm looking at my phone, I'm getting blown up, (people) saying I'd chose to become a Boston Celtic".

"That was definitely a hectic day", he said on a conference call.

Allen, who still enjoys a comfortable cushion as the NBA's all-time leading three-point shooter, stayed with the Celtics for four seasons and saw two NBA Finals appearances with Boston before being bounced from the 2012 playoffs by LeBron's Miami Heat. Turn around and fly all the way back to San Diego and meet with the Jazz. Then you take about 24 hours and try to take some of the emotion out of the decision.

Hayward hasn't even tried on his new No. 20, replacing Ray Allen, and already he sounds like the ideal fit in Boston.
