Essential Phone coming to United Kingdom, followed by Western Europe and Japan

Brian Wallace, vice president of marketing at Essential, left the company last week, according to Business Insider.

The Essential Phone hasn't even arrived in the United States yet, but the latest report indicates that Andy Rubin is already preparing for its worldwide expansion.

Meanwhile, the company also lost head of communication Andy Fouché earlier in the month. Prior to joining the Rubin-backed venture, he worked at Samsung on the iPhone-targeting "Next Big Thing" campaign and more recently at augmented reality startup Magic Leap.

Israeli soldier convicted in shooting moved to house arrest
The March 2016 shooting in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron was caught on video by a rights group and spread widely online. Nadav Weissman engaged in a heated courtroom battle in the last appeal hearing over the manslaughter verdict against Azaria.

While companies in the consumer electronics space regularly see some turnover, the departures come at a high-profile time for Essential.

At Code Conference in May, Rubin showcased the Essential Phone publicly. It has a price tag of $699, while adding the 360-degree camera accessory will now set you back an extra $50 (down from $199).

In terms of power, it runs off the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB RAM. It was announced later on that Sprint will be the device's exclusive carrier in the USA, while TELUS will sell the device in Canada.

Sunny Monday for Shelter Island
The National Weather Service (NWS) is calling for a mostly sunny Monday on Shelter Island. It will feel hot, with the forecasted high of 25 C climbing to 31 with the humidex.

The Essential Phone may have missed its soft June launch timeframe, but the company's COO says we should prepare for imminent arrival in the United States, according to Financial Times.
