Driver charged in deadly Grand Central Parkway crash

The crash happened at about 6:30 on the eastbound Grand Central Parkway near 188th Street in Jamaica Estates.

Akeam Grant, a 16-year-old Brooklyn resident, was ejected from Shakespeare's vehicle and died at the scene.

The sport utility vehicle then crossed three lanes and hit another SUV, causing both vehicles to hit a guardrail, cross the parkway and roll over, authorities said.
